I was first introduced to the field of sport for development and peace (SDP) in 2011 when I traveled to Eastern DRC as part of a sport for reconciliation project. I saw first-hand how sport can promote social cohesion and inclusion in a very challenging environment.

Since then I have worked in the field of SDP in various roles, as project manager of sportanddev.org, development advisor of GIZ's Sport for Development in Africa Regional Project and  consultant with USAID, GIZ, and the Swiss Academy for Development.

I am enthusiastic about working in this field and would be happy to talk to you about your interest in getting involved. My favorite African proverb is:

"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together."

I would be happy to offer the following services in either English or French.

Do you need help developing, implementing or evaluating a SDP project? I can provide a range of services, including:

  • Supporting entrepreneurs and organizations develop fundraising and communication strategies

  • Conducting capacity assessments and stakeholder mappings

  • Developing project implementation strategies and frameworks

  • Providing overall project management and monitoring and evaluation support.

Are you looking for someone to conduct desk research, develop a concept note or assist with a product or manual?  I am able to provide a unique perspective based on my first-hand knowledge and experience of SDP policy, research and practice.

Do you want to promote life skills through sport-based learning or learn more about how sport can promote positive social change? I would be happy to facilitate a workshop customized to your needs. I am also happy to participate in or provide input on SDP conferences.
